Last Saturday evening, I slept over at my Grandma’s place for three days. But my brother couldn’t because he had a school camp that day.
On Sunday night, Grandma and I went to a Japanese restaurant to have sushi for dinner. We like the mouth-watering sushi very much. But it was a costly meal. We paid about two hundred dollars for it.
On Monday, Grandparents and I planned to go to the Ocean Park and play all day long. Unfortunately, it rained heavily. Maybe it would become worse until evening. So we cancelled it. At noon, we had lunch with my aunt. After that, we visited her home. My cousin and I played many board and card games. Then, we played with her hairy hamster. At five, Grandma, cousin and I watched Kick-Ass 2 at cinema. In the movie, there is a funny character. She is Mother Russia who is a cruel woman with shaggy white hair and a muscular body highlighted with her six-pack. At night, we went to my uncle’s flat to play a race car video game. I really enjoyed that day.
On Tuesday afternoon, Grandma and I bought some school uniforms for me. Next, we ate lunch at a Japanese restaurant.
Saturday 24thAugust,13 Cloudy
Last Wednesday afternoon it rained heavily and the typhoon signal number 8 was hoisted. But Mum’s decision gave me such a start of surprise. My aunt’s family, my family and Grandma would have a lunch buffet to celebrate my aunt’s birthday. We enjoyed the buffet hugely. After lunch, we visited an outlet store. Mum bought two blue schoolbags for my brother and me. Its design is very good.
Friday 23rd August,13 Windy
On the 15th, my parents, Grandma and I accompanied my brother to his secondary school at Stanley. He would join a school camp for six days. The place is really far from home and he needs to board at the college during school days. After saying goodbye to him, we strolled along the school. I was so surprised when I knew that it was bigger than the Hong Kong Disneyland. Many school are minuscule in size in comparison with his school. The most impressive was the view of the big football field with the sea in the background.
After that, we went to a supermarket to buy something. This supermarket is very special. It used to be the Stanley Police Station. There are some rock columns inside. Then, we had lunch at a European restaurant. I thought that Stanley’s streets are just like Europe’s.
Next, I wanted to swim at the Stanley beach. But it would be a bit trouble because we didn't bring along our swimming suits. So we gave it up.
What a wonderful day!
Today’s weather was really bad. It was windy and rainy. The typhoon signal number 3 was hoisted. But I thought that the wind was not strong enough to sting my face or make my eyes water. Because of the typhoon, my family and I couldn’t go on the planned vacation at the Gold Coast Hotel. I was very disappointed.
Instead, we went to the cinema to watch The Wolverine after breakfast. I thought it was great but some of scenes were not reasonable. Then, we had lunch at a Japanese restaurant.
Wednesday 27th July,13 rainy
The ninth of July was a big day. It was the day of the announcement of the secondary school placement results. Before that day, I was full of confidence about my result because God would answer my prayer. So I didn’t feel nervous like others. Besides this, I was sure that I would not need to apply for a seat with another school afterwards because there was little chance of me being allotted to a less desirable.
In the early morning that day, my parents took my brother and I to school. When I received the allocation slip, my heart leaped with joy. I will study in my favourite secondary school, Wah Yan College Kowloon. Then, many classmates and teachers congratulated me.
Wah Yan College is a famous school in Hong Kong. I love this school because there are many trees and flowers in the campus that make me feel free and relaxed. I also like the big campus, the huge football fields and the swimming pool. However, I don’t want to swim in the pool because it looks dirty.
One of my classmate was very upset because he had to study in St. Francis Xavier’s College which is a bit small. He preferred Wah Yan College.
The most special thing was that a TVB’s reporter and a photographer invited my mum and I to have an interview. My mum said that she was thrilled because the school was our first choice. It was difficult for me to find another school if the allocation result was bad. Luckily, God blessed us. My friends were surprised to see us on TV.
In the afternoon, my family, Grandma and I had a buffet at Tsim Sha Tsui to celebrate with us. All of us were satisfied. After that, my brother and I visited the Miyazaki Hayao exhibition. The characters in his movies are really lovely.

Dad says:
I should praise Titus for heeding my advice about noting down useful English words and phrases in a notebook for future use. "Leaped with joy" is the first fruit of this new habit of his. This is really something worthy of celebration because a good habit can bring about a significant change for the better.
The placement allocation day was one of the watersheds witnessing their growing up. As a father leading the house and more as a Christian, I had no particular nervous feeling for the day. Titus with his special need can settle well in any school since he has had the tenacity and a glad heart to face challenges. God has been taking good care of him anyway. The college befitting him had already been waiting for him, I was sure.
It was surely pleasing to know that he is going to a glad school. The only sad thing may be that his brother is going to another one but it is the one he loves lots. It was gratifying too to see the smiling faces of them that morning. A note should be added that Titus’s brother did whole-heartedly feel joyous about him going to Wah Yan College Kowloon.
The road ahead is a way to more challenges and as always we are all one under God's leadership. I wish them both a wonderful experience leading their new life in the college.
Sunday 14th April,13 Cloudy
During the Easter holiday, my brother and I went on a field drawing trip to Cheung Chau with many others and our drawing class teacher, Professor Choi. This drawing class was special than the usual ones because we drew outdoors . We always draw indoors and have not drawn outdoors for a long time. Actually, I don’t really like to draw outdoors because it is hot under the sun and we need to bring many tools.
That morning, my parents took us to Cheung Chau by ferry. When we arrived there, we assembled at the pier. Soon, all the participants arrived, including my two cousins.
Then, we started drawing at the pier. I saw many people riding bicycles. Some were tricycles, even huge quadricycles, with seats for passengers in the back row. I also saw a lot of small, old junks. They are Cheung Chao’s characteristics. After many hours, I finished my picture which is the scenery of the busy waterfront with passers-by walking under the colourful flying flags. By that time, all my family members had done theirs. After finishing the drawing, we went shopping on the island.
I thought it was a really enjoyable day.
