My Happy Christmas Holiday

Our Christmas holiday started on the nineteenth of December. I was looking forward to the coming of  Christmas Day since that day. I hoped that I could get Masked Rider W Fang joker and Accel toy for my Christmas presents. W Fang joker is my most favourite form. However, both of them are very expensive.

Last Sunday morning, we went to church for the service. This service was a bit different because we watched a drama about the Bible story and received some presents. Afterwards, both my brother and I wanted to visit the Ocean Park. But I thought that we could not visit there because my parents were too busy to prepare the things for our secondary school placement. So I ate my lunch in a disappointing mood. Suddenly, my dad said that he would bring us to the Ocean Park. When I heard that, I was so delighted that I clapped my hands with excitement. When we arrived at the Ocean Park, I found many new and exciting rides there. First, we went to the Polar Adventure after a short cable car journey. Inside the South and North Polar House, I noticed many cute sea creatures like penguins, seals, sea lions and walruses. The most strange thing is that the seals and walruses can swim upside down. Then, I played the Rev Booster. This game is just like a roundabout, but it spins at a great speed and goes up and down. I was a bit afraid when I was playing this ride. When it spun, I felt the centrifugal force and slid to the outer side of my cart.  The cart had no safety belt, yet I did not felt frightened or ill. After that, my brother and I played the Bungee trampoline. I felt as if I were a superman and I could jump into the sky.  The most special thing was that we played the Arctic Blast three times in just fifteen minutes because many Mainland Chinese tourists had left. We no longer needed to queue up. We also played the Bumper Blaster and had great fun. At night, we had dinner in the Pizza Hut. Almost all the dishes were delicious. I really need to thank my parents for taking us to the Ocean Park.

Last Friday was also a special day because it was the Winter Solstice. In the evening, my family and I went to my grandma’s place. When we got there, my relatives were yet to arrive. My brother and I watched some of our favourite cartoons like LBX and Mr.Bean until dinner. My favourite LBX robot is Lucifer because its design is beautiful. Then, we had a delicious dinner. We ate many dishes, like chicken curry, abalones and scallops. After dinner, my brother and I were so glad that my parents let us sleep over at her home. When the relatives left, we watched Masked Rider W the Gaia Memories of Fate. In the story, W’s enemy is Masked Rider Eternal who said that he would never die. Eternal has five Dopant monsters, which are his evil partners.

The next day afternoon, Grandma took me to buy a Christmas present. When we arrived at the toy shop, I first thought that the W fang joker toy was out of stock. Luckily, Grandma found one which was the last one. After shopping, we had lunch in a Chinese restaurant. We only ordered a plate of noodles. Then, we went to my aunt’s place to have a Christmas party. However, I was really bored in her home because I had nothing to do except watching TV and playing games with my cousins. At night, all the relatives arrived finally. We had a yummy dinner. I liked the smoked salmon the best. At last, I was elated to receive the lovely Masked Rider Accel toy from my aunt. I was very tired when I went back home.

The day came and went and, finally, the Christmas Eve was here! That night, my family and I went out to have a Christmas Eve dinner at Ye Lam Kwok restaurant. My brother and I shared the roasted chicken and the assorted steaks. They were delicious.  After dinner, we went to buy books for Christmas presents. However, there were no books that I liked. So my dad decided to take us to the other bookshop another day.

The next day was Christmas Day. In the evening, Dad took my brother and I to the other bookshop. Dad helped me find a funny book about science. When we were back home, Mum had already prepared some western dishes for our Christmas dinner. Finally, we ate the most special thing which was the traditional English Christmas cake. Although its taste was strange, it was pretty delicious. After dinner, I wanted to unwrap my Christmas presents. But Dad suggested that we should unwrap them tomorrow, the Boxing Day, so that we would feel more satisfied and happy. Then, we watched a film by Chou Sing Chi.

In the Boxing day morning, I wanted to unwrap the Christmas presents early so I woke up early. But on second thought, I wished to take photos with Mum and Dad in front of my presents. So I waited until Mum woke up. Some of my presents were candies but I don’t like sweet things now, except chocolate. The other present is a remote control helicopter. Dad said that its control was easily and it was pretty unbreakable. Finally, I unboxed the W and Accel figures. I was so satisfied that I could have so many presents. But what will my birthday presents be? Of course, it has to be W Extreme which is the most powerful form of W. His weapon is a sword with a shield. I also want to have the Accel Trial form that can fight in lightening speed. 

 

A Super Joke

Today, I remembered that there was a joke which really happened two years ago when I was resting. The joke was happen at Shenzhen. That year, our family, my cousins and I went to Shenzhen to have a vacation. When we were on the way to hotel, we saw a special hotel buggy. So we took a photo in the buggy. First, we sat in it. Then, smile happily……  However, my six years old cousin stepped on the……  Can you guess what is it ? It is a ACCELERATION PEDDLE!!! Can you hear what I said ? I said that my above the cousin stepped on the ACCELERATION PEDDLE curiously and inadvertently! So the buggy start to move. My dad pushed the buggy in front of it immediately. My grandma and mum also called the hotel guard to stop it move. At last, we were save.

However, I felt disappoint. This was because if my dad didn’t stop the buggy move, maybe my cousin would drive it herself! Or the reporter would come and interview us! So we could see us on the newspaper. Ha!Ha!                

A School Trip to Taiwan

22rd July,12   The first day of the trip!

Two months ago, I joined an interesting school trip to Taiwan for a week with teachers and twenty schoolmates. Actually, my school had planned to go to London this summer holiday but it would be very expensive during the London Olympics. So we went to Taiwan. We went to Taipei first, then Taichung. However, I did not want to go Taiwan very much before the trip because it was like going to just another Chinese city. Actually, I wanted to go to Europe or America, like Canada, France and England.

On the first day of the trip, I woke up at about five o’clock. I brushed my teeth and got changed quickly. Then, my dad, mum and grandma took me to the airport by taxi. I felt a bit nervous because this would be my first time to go overseas without parents.

When we arrived at the airport, the sun had already risen. We went to Delifrance, a restaurant serving French food in the airport, to have a delicious breakfast. After the breakfast, our teachers, students and I gathered in front of the departure entrance. I was pretty glad to see my two best classmates,Chung Tak and Hugo.

About seven o’clock, our plane took off. I felt a bit disappointed because the flight only took two hours, so I couldn’t watch movies for too long. I played some computer games and watched some cartoons, like Kick Buttowski and Ben 10 Alien Force. I like the alien character, Big Chill the most. He is a super hero who is an intangible, ghost-like creature with a breathy, ethereal voice.

We arrived at Taipei at last! Then, we went to a hotel restaurant by a special double-deck coach . All the schoolmates sat on the upper deck because the lower deck was used for storing our luggage. There were three TVs on the bus but we didn’t bother to watch.

The hotel restaurant looked new and beautiful. However, I did not like Taiwanese dishes because they tasted very strange to me. One of the dishes was pig’s hearts! No one wanted to eat them, even our teachers. After that we went to the huge Sun Moon Lake which was the earlier area where the ancestors of Taiwanese people lived. We sailed around the lake in a sightseeing boat. I thought that this activity was a bit boring because we could only appreciate the lake on the boat.

About six o’clock, we went to Wenwu Temple which was located beside our hotel. Some schoolmates wrote down their wishes to the Chinese god. But I didn’t because I thought that they were silly and useless. The hotel we stayed looked like a traditional Chinese house. Then, we had dinner in the hotel.  At last, Chung Tak and I shared a room. The old small room was pretty comfortable.

23th July, 12   The second day

We woke up early at six o’clock because we had to take breakfast at seven. After brushing my teeth and packing up my backpack, I watched the cartoon, Ben 10 Alien Force while my classmate was packing up his rucksack. Then, we went to the restaurant which was located one floor below our room.

After breakfast, we went to the zoo of peacocks and birds. I saw many graceful, beautiful peacocks. Sometimes, we could see them spread their beautiful feathers. The most special thing was that my camera bag was taken by a naughty blue bird! Lucky, a zookeeper gave it back to me.

Then, we went to a sheep farm. We were allowed to pat the sheep and even buy food to feed them! I thought the sheep were cuter than dogs and cats. But I had no coins to buy a bag of sheep food from the vendor machine. Lucky, some schoolmates gave me the sheep food and I fed the sheep with five bags! I was really satisfied. After that, we watched a sheep show. We also saw a worker shave the sheep’s wool. I really liked this place. How I wish there is a sheep farm in Hong Kong!

About five o’clock, we spent an hour in a bookstore to buy books. Actually, I wanted to buy a DVD series of Masked Riders. But it was very expensive. At last, I bought two books about America and Japan for my brother and myself. I also bought a Shinkenger Gold’s robot model from a Seven Eleven convenience shop. In the TV programme, the huge robot transforms from a lantern with a Chinese word on it.

At night, we stayed in another hotel which was located on the hill. It is an old western-style hotel. We could see a lot of stars at night. We could also watch beautiful scenery on the public balcony. The most special thing was that Chung Tak and I slept on the highest storey of the hotel, so we could see the roof. What a great day!

27th July,12   The sixth day

I felt a bit disappointed when I was packing up my backpack in the morning because there were only two days left of the trip. Last night I had another roommate from the other class to share the room with me. I thought that he was also friendly. Then, we had a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, we went on hiking in a country park. But I don’t like hiking because this activity makes me tired, hot and sweating! We hiked for many hours until noon. We saw many insects and cows, even snakes. We also saw a special thing, an insect skin!

Then, we visited an insect museum in a secondary school. Actually, the museum was not a grand one and its decoration was very simple. First, two guides introduced the information of different insects, mainly butterflies. The most special thing was that all the schoolmates could touch the living stick insect, Hercules beetle and even an empty beehive under the supervision of the guides.  I thought that the Hercules beetle’s skin was very smooth. Some schoolmates were afraid and thought the insects ugly, so they didn’t dare touch them. We also saw many beautiful butterflies, specimens of the world’s biggest ant and thinnest stick insect.

In the evening, we went shopping at Ximending. Although there were many things to buy, I didn’t buy anything. My classmate Hugo and I went to a toy shop to buy some toys. I saw some of my favourite toys there, like Masked Rider W, Ultra Man and Iron Man. Lastly, I decided to buy a Masked Rider 000 figure. However, it cost 300 Taiwan dollars which was too expensive, so I dropped the idea. Suddenly, we saw a schoolmate buy a One Piece pirate ship toy which cost 900 Taiwan dollars! He was so crazy. The teacher, Ms Wong, also bought a bottle of juicy watermelon milk for me and a bottle of mango juice for Hugo. Yummy!

At night, we had a delicious hot pot and a buffet for dinner at a Chinese restaurant. We could eat French fries, grilled beef, ice-cream and many more. However, two naughty schoolmates put all the noodles in the hot pot which made Ms Wong punish them to eat all the noodles. They eat about ten bowls of noodles! Ha ha, what a laugh! At last, we had the Mongolian roasted food. We could choose as many different meat as we wished, like pork, beef, lamb and chicken. Then, we could add some seasonings, like prawn sauce, vinegar, onion and chilli. Lastly, the chef cooked our selections on a large heated pan using special, long chopsticks. After dinner, we returned to the hotel. I was absolutely full!

28th July,12   The last day!

We needed to pack up the luggage in the morning because we would leave Taiwan tonight. We went to Taipei’s Anti-disaster Museum after the buffet breakfast .

When we entered into the museum, we saw some old red fire engines and fire-fighting equipment which were made in Japan in the past. Then, we watched some videos and cartoons about horrible natural disasters. The passionate guide also taught us some basic ways to protect ourselves when disaster happened. After that, we had a funny game to learn about escaping from fire in a special, dimly lit room which was in a long shape with many partitions. We could not see clearly when we crawled with wet towel covering our mouth and nose to stay away from the smoke.  But the smoke was actually water mist. I thought that the room was just like an exciting maze! We also had another game. We sat dawn on a special floor which could move quickly to imitate earthquakes. The things from the wardrobe might fall down so we needed to be careful. 

After a rest, we played a funny game again. Then, we went inside a special room with yellow raincoats on so that we would not get wet. First, water drops dripped quickly to imitate raining. Then, a huge fan in front of the room blew out strong wind to mimic typhoon. At last, some fluorescent tubes flickered to make a lightning effect. “What an exciting game!” I thought to myself. But I didn’t play the game because I didn’t want to get wet.

Lastly, we had the chance to use a fire escape lift which was built on the outer wall of a building. It used a person’s body weight instead of electricity to operate. We went into the fire escape lift one by one on the fifth floor to have a go. We all landed safely.

In the afternoon, we went to Eslite Bookstore, the biggest bookstore in Taiwan. It had six floors and was as big as eight football pitches. I couldn’t wait to buy the books when the teachers gave us two hours to do shopping. There were a lot of things to buy, like books, DVD titles, babies’ toys, stationary and so on. However, I didn’t really want to buy them. Actually, I did not know why I had this idea. Finally, I bought a bag of Jelly Belly with my classmate. My favourite Jelly Belly favours are coconut and cheesecake with strawberry. Although I had three thousand dollars, I only bought five things from Taiwan.

After shopping, we went to the Taipei 101 which was near the Eslite Bookstore. Taipei 101 was the tallest building in the world in 2005 to 2010. It is 508 metres high. It is pretty tall.

Oh no! We had to leave Taiwan. Actually, I wanted to stay in Taiwan for two weeks. We arrived at Taipei airport at four o’clock. Goodbye Taiwan!

A Special Sunday Service

19th August,12   Sunday

Today, we did not go to church for service because Dad’s right leg got hurt and walked slowly on a crutch. So we had a service at the dining room after breakfast. My brother put his cute soft toy and figures on the dining table and I had my masked rider 555 with me during the service. My brother also had with him a bookmark printed with three words on it, God Is Love. First, we sang some hymns. At this time, my mum wept while we were singing songs. She said that she was so touched because it had been some time since we last praised God together. Mum thought that it was great to see me sing hymns. Actually I thought it wasn’t a matter worth weeping. Then, Dad told us a Bible story and prayed with us.  

My two great presents

Tuesday   1st August,12 (Sunny)

Two weeks ago, Dad and my brother went to Dubai with teachers and classmates to have a training course. So Grandma and Mum always went shopping with me so that we would not be bored. The other day Grandma and Mum took me to the ToysRus. I was pretty surprised to find there were some new toys.  The best was Kamen Rider W which is a two-guy-in-one masked rider. The two guys are detectives. Kamen Rider W’s driver belt is in the shape of a red letter W. Before combining to form Kamen Rider W, the two guys can change into kamen riders of seven colours in total.

When they combine to form a green and black body, it is called W Cyclone Joker who wears a grey scarf, just like old Masked Riders. Cyclone Memory is his weapon which adds a wind effect to W’s attack. Joker Memory is another weapon which gives the Rider a warrior’s combat techniques. W Cyclone Joker is good at fighting with bunches and kicks. Every time in the end, he will finish up the enemies with the finishing move Joker Xtreme, splitting into the right and left sides to do separate kicks.

Besides, Kamen Rider W in red and grey is called W Heat Metal who looks like a ninja. Heat Metal is my favourite. HIs weapon Heat Memory allows him to generate high temperatures. This is effective against ice and oversize enemies. His another weapon is Metal Shaft which can create powerful blows. It can also sets itself on fire to become more lethal.

W Luna Trigger is yellow and blue. Luna Memory allows him to stretch his body. It also allows him to control the movement of objects or bullets. His yellow hand and leg can extend to a very long length. He has a blue gun, Trigger Magnum. This special blue gun can do long range attacks. It can also do fire-and-forget shots. His finishing move to defeat the enemies is Trigger Full Burst with the blue gun firing countless energy shots. Lastly, W Fang Joker is white and black. He has two sabres. His finishing move is Fang Strizer.

Also, there is the W Xtreme who is green, grey and black in colour. Xtreme Memory allows W to directly connect to the Earth’s memory so W can know anything he wants. W can change also into many other forms, like Cyclone Metal, Heat Trigger, Luna Joker, Luna Metal etc.

W has an enormous battle car which doubles as his base. It has eight wheels. There is a motorbike inside the base. The motorbike can change into a flying bike or sailing bike.

Apart from W, there is Masked Rider Accel who is a police.                                        

When Grandma knew that I like these toys, she bought me a W Heat and Metal figure. Two weeks later, she bought me a magazine about W too. My dad also bought me a W Cyclone and Joker figure. I am very satisfied now.

 

Tuesday 3rd July,12 sunny

Last Sunday, Mum told me that we would go to Grandma’s place to eat dinner with my relatives. At six o’clock, Grandpa drove Mum and I went Grandma’s home by taxi. I was happy when I was taking the taxi because the taxi has a small telly on the back of the seat. I could play games on the teeny telly.

When we arrived Grandma’s apartment, my brother was playing the famous computer game, Angry Birds. Then, I watched three movies with my cousins, Cho Den-o Episode Red, Blue and yellow. I thought that G Den-o, the Time Police is a special character. Catch the thieves who stole Den-liner is his job. After that, we had a dinner. Nearly nine o’clock, we had to leave because my brother wanted to watch a TV programme, Spider Man 2. I felt a bit disappointed because I couldn’t stay at Grandma’s place to watch TV until ten o’clock.

The next morning, my family and I went to the cinema to watch The Amazing Spider Man at Tsim Sha Tsui. We were almost late!  Luckily, we were in time. I thought the movie was really exciting. Then, we went to a Chinese restaurant to have lunch. We ate a lot of delicious dim sums.

After lunch, we went to buy things for this holiday, like sandals and sunglasses. At first, I don’t want to buy sandals because I think that they are ugly. But I decided to buy them at last because I will go to Taiwan this holiday. I was tired after shopping for four hours.

Go to Grandma’s home!

22nd June,12    (Friday to Saturday)

When we had lunch at home, Mum said that she would let my brother and I sleep over in Grandma’s home if we could finish the homework before evening. When I heard this good news, I felt very excited. I love to sleep over in Grandma’s place because I can watch TV and videos on the Internet all day. But Mum and Dad said that it was not too well to watch TV and the computer all day.    

About six o’clock, aunt Norma took my brother and I to Grandma’s home by MTR. When we arrived, I rushed quickly to Grandma’s apartment first because I didn’t want to let my brother use the computer first. Actually, he loves to play computer games too, like Plants VS Zombies and Lego games. Do you think that I am keen on the computer? Ha! Ha!

During the dinner time, I finished my dinner quickly so that I could have longer time to watch videos on the computer. I watched a excited short movie, Masked rider Den-o and Kiva. The main characters are Den-o, Kiva and the evil guy, Negataros. Negataros can transform into Nega Den-o which looks like Den-o. His colour is purple. After watching the movie, I watched some TV programmes.

At night, I thought that my brother was out of his mind because he decided to watched a special TV programme, Uefa Euro 2012 with Grandma from midnight to 1am!

23rd June,12    Saturday

The next morning, Grandma, my brother and I ate some delicious rice dumplings because that day was the Dragon Festival. Rice dumpling is a Chinese food. It is made with sticky rice, egg yolks and mushrooms. Then, we watched a DVD movie, Oliver Twist. Grandma and I really enjoyed it. My brother probably did too.  At one o’clock, we went to the Pizza Hut to have a delicious lunch. However, I thought that the food were not very tasty because I had been to the Pizza Hut many times this month. Nearly three o’clock, aunt Norma took me to the swimming pool for a swimming class at Shum Shui Po .

After The Examination

12th June,12   (the end of the examination)

Hurray! The horrible, scary but important school examination was over finally! I will play all day after the examination because I had been very hardworking for three weeks. However, I guessed that the result of Maths will not too well since I did not finish some of the questions. Oh no! What a pity!

When I got home from school, the first thing to do was to draw a huge, colourful birthday card to my cousin because the next day was her birthday. I used almost twenty minutes to draw the card. Then, I  watched cartoons on the computer. Actually, I watched an excited action movie, ‘Masked rider Den-o and Decade’! Do you know that Masked rider is my favourite? The main characters are Den-o, Decade, Silvar and Goldra. I like Den-o the most. However, I forgot the content of the story. I only remember two evil guys, Silvar and Goldra’s enormous warship and Den-o’s Den-liner.

After watching quite long time, my eyes were uncomfortable. Next, I drew two beautiful pictures of Masked rider. About five o’clock, Mum took my brother and I to the famous toy shop, ToysRus to watch new toys at Tsim Sha Tsui. My brother watched Lego toys and I watched Masked rider toys. When Dad came from work, my brother and I were very surprised because he said that he would buy new toys to us. I chose a brand new Masked rider Agito toy which can transform into a flying motorbike. The TV programme, ‘Agito’ was shown in 2000’s. You may say that he is an old Masked rider. I like my new toy very much. While my brother bought a commanding LBX Chillies robot with a lance and a shield.  

After buying the new toys, we went to a cosy hotel restaurant, Cafe Marco with my grandma and cousin to have a buffet diner. When I arrived the restaurant, I went to choose the delicious food immediately. I ate many yummy food, like French fries, marsh potatoes, pizza, lobster spaghetti, steaks etc. I was really full after the buffet. Before paying the bill, I gave the birthday card to my cousin. She was very happy and surprised when she saw the card. I thought that day was a great, special day.

The Educational Camp in Noah’s Ark

Wednesday   28th March,12(the first day of the camp)   Windy 

The educational camp which I had heard about since primary four took place at last. In the early morning on 28th March,Mum and I picked my huge luggage for the camp. I felt that the luggage was vey heavy when I pick it up. Then,Mum told my brother and I some important points about the camp. When Mum mentioned the points to note of going to bed,I worried about my classmates sneering at me or asking me about my hearing aids as I took them off at shower and bedtime. Mum explained to me but it was of little use.

After lunch,Mum took my brother and I to school to assemble. When I arrived at the playground of school,my friend Jason who is as short as an elf gave me a book about kids ’science immediately when he saw me. I was delighted to watch the book. When Mum left,I did not cry or lose my mood and felt worried because I have been to join the camping for four times. besides,I saw a classmate cry gloomily because her mum had to leave. After a while,all the teachers and schoolmates took the coach to Noah’s Ark Resort in Ma Wan.

When we arrived at Noah’s Ark Resort, I was surprised to see the well-decorated camp site. Actually,it is part of the hotel. Our group was arranged in room B303. There are four wooden double-deck beds. I slept on the lower deck and Jason slept on the upper deck. There is a wooden table and some chairs in the middle of the room. We always sat there to play card games,eat snacks and watch TV. We had wonderful time. The most special thing is there are two bathrooms in one room. There are some beautiful pictures on the wall and some tables with chairs in the well-decorated lobby.  

At four o’clock,all the schoolmates came to Noah’s stadium to play games. Actually, the teachers wanted to train us to be co-operative and considerate. However,I felt very bored and wanted to sleep in the my comfortable,cool resort. after playing games for three hours. When the games were over,all the schoolmates went to a restaurant in the Ark. The restaurant is as huge as a hall. It is decorated in Chinese restaurant style. There is a stage in front of the restaurant. Every twelve schoolmates sat in a round table. I sat between my friend,Jason and a fat classmate.

I felt so disappointed when I saw the dishes because they were not Western food but Chinese food. Besides, we were scolded by the teacher, Mr.Choi because we were noisy and some schoolmates were late. So we couldn’t eat the delicious food immediately. Let me tell you that the teacher had scolded us for half an hour! There was an unpleasant thing happened during dinner. A waitress poured some warm water on a classmate when she was filling water for us.

The teacher asked everyone to write a letter to their parents when they went back their rooms. I finished my letter quickly but my group members had written their letter for two hours because they played crazily as they wrote. At bedtime, we went to bed. However,I couldn’t sleep because my group members turned on their flash. I hoped that tomorrow would be more funny.

Four days ago, Dad gave my brother a mini Lego Star Wars toy to which are the throne room with two figures of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. Do you believe that the toy is as small as a clock? In the movie, the evil Emperor commands the stars from his throne room tower in the Imperial battle station, Death Star. Although the toy is small, but my brother was delighted when he saw it. I was a bit joyless because I had no new toy. However, I was happy at night. Dad gave a figure of Masked Rider kuuga which is red when I went to bed. I think that Masked Rider Kuuga and his symbol just looks like Masked Rider Agito.   

A Present

Yesterday, my dad gave me a present in the evening. It is a figure of Masked Rider Knight, one of the character in Masked Rider Ryuki. Knight’s mask looks like a knight’s helmet. I felt a bit strange because it has no box. I was not very happy and surprised when I saw it because I don’t like it very much.
